Per Lerdrup Olsen is head of the DIBD's office in Brazil. Per went to Brazil as a trainee in 1976 for ØK. Apart from a four year period in North America and Denmark, he has been living in São Paulo since then. Per has experience from many different lines of business such as coffee, metal goods, foodstuffs, and the packing and tree industry. In 2003, he became the Senior Regional Advisor for the IFU in South America, and in 2005 Per was hired as the Director of DIBD OMIB Consultoria Ltda. in São Paulo. Furthermore, Per is on the board of civil Danish subsidiaries and organizations in Brazil and South America.

The DIBD Brazil office is located in Sorocaba, approximately 90 km. from the centre of São Paulo. This is an advantage as Sorocaba does not have the traffic problems that are increasing in São Paulo city. At the same time, Sorocaba is well located in relation to both the international airport of São Paulo (Guarulhos) and the domestic airport (Viracopos). Some of the Danish companies located in the Sorocaba area are FLSmidth, Agramkow, AVK, Danfoss and Sanovo.

Per speaks Danish, English, and Portuguese fluently. Especially the latter is very important due to the lack of English skills among many Brazilians.
